GAC’s Suzanne Alexander Makes a Monthly Run for St. Jude

One half-marathon a month to benefit children’s hospital.

It’s hard enough for most of us to imagine running one marathon, or even one half-marathon. But can you imagine running one half-marathon a month?

Radio and television host Suzanne Alexander couldn’t, but she’s doing it anyway. The big-hearted and beautiful face of GAC and co-host of NASH-FM’s Kickin’ It With Kix has vowed to run a half-marathon every month to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. She started with Nashville’s Country Music Half-Marathon in late April and this month she aready ran the Flying Pig Half-Marathon in Cincinnati. Next month, it’s back to Franklin, Tenn., then to Chicago for her fourth half in four months.

Suzanne says, “Running doesn’t come easy to me and often I hear that little voice saying, ‘Just quit,’ but the race against cancer never ends and I will continue to look to every finish line and pledge to help fight childhood cancers.”

If you’d like to help Suzanne’s efforts to raise money for the kids and research at St. Jude, visit Facebook.com/SuzanneAlexanderStJudeHero. Not only will Suzanne update you on her training and races, she’ll also offer up some great auction items from her country music friends.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital operates solely on donations. No family is ever refused treatment based on an inability to pay.
