FOX Network to Do Country Music Awards

The Fox TV network today will announce a totally fan-voted country music awards show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show, the American Country Awards (or ACAs) will debut Dec. 6 from Las Vegas, the magazine reports.

The producer will be Bob Bain, who does the fan-voted Teen Choice Awards for Fox.

The ACAs would make a total of three major-network country-only awards shows. ABC hosts the Country Music Association awards show (the CMAs) and CBS has the Academy of Country Music awards show (the ACMs), which also happen in Vegas.

How are there two country awards shows in Vegas and only one in Nashville? I digress.
