The song garnered the No. 5 spot for the day on Play MPE’s Top 5 Downloads and Top 5 Streams charts. Written by Wood Newton and Jim Weatherly, ‘Wave On, Old Glory, Wave On’ was recorded for the This Is My America project by Billy Dean, with help from the Nashville Symphony and the Fisk Jubilee Singers. "A song like this doesn’t come along very often," says Billy. "It just so happens that our country is going through a period of extraordinary change right now like we've never experienced before, and 'Wave On, Old Glory, Wave On' reminds us all that we will come through these tough times just like we always have. It's a beautiful song and the perfect anthem for America today." For more information or to purchase the This Is My America album, visit thisismyamerica.com.
