First Performers Announced for 2013 CMT Music Awards

Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Little Big Town, Hunter Hayes and Pistol Annies will light up the stage at the CMT Music Awards, Wednesday, June 5, at 8 p.m. ET from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The annual awards show honors the top music videos of the year as voted  by fans.

Jason Aldean and actress Kristen Bell will host the show, which always features plenty of explosive performances and a surprise or two, like Little Big Town's performance of "Pontoon" on an actual pontoon boat at the 2012 show (video below). Additional performers along with award presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

And as far as fan voting, you can start making your choices now at cmt.com through June 2. The six finalists for Video of the Year will be announced at the beginning of the live telecast on June 5 and fans can then cast their votes for that category during the show.
