Ferlin Husky Undergoes Surgery

Legendary country entertainer Ferlin Husky underwent surgery in Springfield, Mo., Nov. 27, after doctors found substantial artery blockage in his right leg.

Ferlin, 81, had a stent put in the leg to help with circulation problems, according to Tracy Pitcox, the president of Ferlin’s record label, Heart of Texas Records. “The surgery was very successful and Mr. Husky’s doctors expect him to fully recover,” said Pitcox. Ferlin’s biggest hits include the No. 1 singles “Gone” and “Wings of a Dove.”
