Garth Brooks just recently celebrated his 40th birthday, and his fans gave him a very special gift.

Fans on the website PlanetGarth.com rallied together and chipped in to donate money to Teammates for Kids -- a foundation that holds a special place in Garth's heart.

The total amount came to $1,777.40 and was delivered to the co-founder of the foundation, Bo Mitchell.

Along with the check came cards and letters for Garth and a birthday cake.

This is the third donation from the members of Planet Garth -- so far the fans have donated almost $6,000.
