Faith Hill Talks Family in Today Show Australia Interview

Faith and Tim will tour Down Under in 2012.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will take their Tim McGraw and Faith Hill/Australia 2012 tour Down Under in March of next year. The string of shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne (among other cities) marks the second trip to Australia for Tim and is Faith's inaugural trip Down Under.

During a video interview with Australia's Today show, Faith talks about getting back on the music scene after the birth of her first daughter, Gracie, in 1997. "There's something about having a child, being a mom," says Faith. "It's empowering more than anything. I felt like after I had Gracie, I could absolutely conquer the world. You feel like you can pretty much do anything." Indeed, Faith made her comeback in 1998; "This Kiss" became a crossover pop smash.

Despite the career success of both Faith and husband Tim McGraw, Faith says it's not the accolades she's most proud of. "I'm most proud that I have a family that I can share these things with," says Faith. "I'm proud that I have a husband that's supportive and respectful and understanding. I'm proud that I have children that I can show what it means as a woman to be smart and in charge of your business and work really hard. I have such a love for music in my heart and I feel like I have a gift and I don't take it for granted."

What Faith doesn't say is when fans can expect new music from the "Mississippi Girl" singer.
