New Line Cinema wants to make a big screen star out of country singer Faith Hill. They recently picked up the rights to a romantic comedy, Even Steven, and they hope it'll entice the blond beauty to try her hand at acting.

Faith's only previous acting experience has been on the small screen, with guest roles on Touched by an Angel in 1994 and Promised Land in 1997.

There's no deal yet, but Faith reportedly is excited about the prospect.
