Fans will no doubt recall a couple weeks ago when video surfaced of Tim McGraw appearing to strike a fan who had grabbed his leg and caused his jeans to rip. The woman in question, Jesslyn Taylor, hired a lawyer and threatened to sue over the altercation and demanded a public apology.

Instead, it may go away in a more civil manner. Representatives from Tim’s team have told Country Weekly exclusively that the matter has now been settled with both parties, and released the following joint statement:

“The matter between Tim McGraw and Jesslyn Taylor stemming from an Atlanta concert has been mutually resolved the old-fashioned way—with a simple conversation.”

The matter is now over, and tonight (Aug. 7) Tim will be in Rogers, Ark., at the Arkansas Music Pavilion, and his new album, Sundown Heaven Town, hits stores on Sept. 16.
