Exclusive: Ronnie Milsap Reveals New Album Cover

Country legend to release Summer Number Seventeen on Jan. 28.

One of the architects of the soulful country sound, Ronnie Milsap, revealed the album cover to his upcoming release exclusively to Country Weekly. The project, Summer Number Seventeen, is an homage to the songs that influenced Ronnie, from “Georgia on My Mind” to “Tears on My Pillow.”

“We are shaped by the music we hear when we’re young,” Ronnie said. “Everything we do as artists starts there, and then we build and explore. These are many of the songs for me. I can tell you every summer, every place I was when I heard them.”

Summer Number Seventeen, set for a Jan. 28 release, also includes a new song from the Grammy-winning vocalist and piano player. The title track is Ronnie’s dreamy recollection of those musical memories. Ronnie recently made new ones for a lucky Nashville audience when he performed his classic “Stranger in My House” with Jennifer Nettles.
