Ex-Emerson Drive Member Dies

Former Emerson Drive bass player Patrick Bourque has died at age 29.

According to a statement from the band, Patrick passed away suddenly on Tuesday night, Sept. 25, at his home in Montreal, Canada. An investigation is underway, but no cause of death has been announced. His former bandmates learned the news while traveling to a Wednesday night show in Valentine, Neb. A message on the band’s official website says, “The brothers of Emerson Drive are shocked and grieving.” Patrick left the band in August, four years after replacing original bass player Jeff Loberg.
