Eric Church to Play Austin City Limits Festival

When the Austin City Limits Music Festival gets under way this October in the Texas capital, it'll do so with an especially impressive list of country and country-crossover artists.

Held for the first time over two weekends—Oct. 4–6 and Oct. 11–13—at Austin's sprawling Zilker Park, ACL Fest features such modern-rock headliners as Kings of Leon, Muse and Depeche Mode, but it's risk-taking twangers like Eric Church and The Mavericks that will gain country fans' attention. Other country acts on the bill include Holly Williams, Court Yard Hounds (made up of Dixie Chicks Emily Erwin and Martie Maguire), perennial ACL Fest players Asleep at the Wheel and R&B icon Lionel Richie, who entered the Nashville scene last year with his Tuskegee duets album.

Eric Church, who took home the ACM award for Album of the Year in April for his studio album Chief, is currently supporting his first-ever live album, Caught in the Act: Live, with select dates.
