Eric Church and Wife Expecting First Child

Eric Church had a hit in 2006 with "Two Pink Lines," and it seems like life is imitating art, sort of. While that song was about teen pregnancy and the telltale two pink lines on a pregnancy test, the current Academy of Country Music Awards Top New Vocal Soloist of the Year announced today (March 24) that he and his wife of three years, Katherine, are expecting their first child this fall. Neither are teenagers.

“Katherine and I are very excited and are looking forward to becoming parents,” Eric said in a statement. “This year has gotten off to an amazing start for us and this news has made it so much better than we could have ever anticipated.”

Eric released his latest single, "Homeboy," in February and is nominated for ACM New Artist of the Year during the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards, which will air on CBS on April 3.
