ENTERTAINER AWARD BRINGS IT ALL HOME FOR KENNY

When Kenny Chesney won the CMA Entertainer of the Year Award, he was immediately transported back in time, to his early dues-paying days. "It's funny what goes through your mind when you win this," says Kenny, "but I used to play this little club in Johnson City, Tennessee, called 'Chucky's Trading Post.' There was a dishwasher in there, and the first night that I set up on a stool with a tip-jar and guitar, he come out to me and told me I was going to be a big star someday. That was many years ago in a really small Mexican restaurant and for some reason, I was up there behind that microphone accepting the Entertainer trophy and I thought about him sticking he head out of that window and telling me that."
