Emmy Nods for Carrie Underwood’s “The Sound of Music Live!” and “The Voice”

Congratulations to the fine folks at NBC and the team behind The Sound of Music Live!, which starred country music sweetheart Carrie Underwood, on earning four nominations for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards.

The three-hour special, which aired in December, scored nods for:

  • Outstanding Music Direction 
  • Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special 
  • Outstanding Special Class Program
  • Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special

NBC’s The Voice, which features Blake Shelton as a celebrity mentor, was also recognized in multiple categories, including Outstanding Reality Competition and Outstanding Interactive Program.
