The Eli Young Band family is expanding—not with new band members, but with the arrival of babies.

On New Year's Eve, EYB bassist Jon Jones and his wife Sarah gave birth to a baby boy, Hudson Lennon Jones, near Fort Worth, Texas. The couple expected the little one to be born closer to Christmas, but reportedly were able to have a natural birth in spite of the late arrival. Both mother and son are doing well.

"The delivery went smoothly and was maybe the most humbling experience of my life," said Jon. "My wife Sarah is truly the rockstar of the family. We decided early on to try to have a natural, out of hospital birth. We took a bunch of classes (I missed about half) and had a great team to help us through the process. We were very fortunate to have been able to stick to our birth plan and bring Hudson into the world the way that we had wanted."

"Baby Hudson has totally changed my life with one little heartbeat. There really is nothing more amazing than seeing the face of your child for the first time," he continued. "Go figure that he would be born with a full head of dark hair. My mother was quick to bring over some pictures of me as a newborn and he is a spitting image."

The Jones' baby boy follows the 2012 birth of EYB lead singer Mike Eli's daughter Kline Olivia Diaz on July 30. Both Jon and Mike are first-time parents.

So that raises the question: Which of the EYB guys will be next, James Young or Chris Thompson?
