Eight Screws Later, Jake Owen Is Back on the Road

"I'm not very good at sitting around the house and taking it easy," Jake says after snowboarding accident.

Jake Owen is back on the road after he crushed his collarbone snowboarding a few weeks ago—and he loves it.

“I had eight screws and a metal plate put in to repair my collarbone, so I’ve had to spend a lot of time at doctor’s appointments and physical therapy sessions over the past few weeks," Jake said in a statement.

"Getting back out on stage was the best therapy I’ve had.”

Jake played packed shows in Dallas and Oklahoma over the weekend, and he's back on the road Thursday (Feb. 9) in Florida after a quick stop in Nashvllle Tuesday (Feb. 7) for a screening of the new Navy SEALS movie Act of Valor, which includes a Jake song in the soundtrack.

The busier, the better, Jake says.

“I’m not very good at sitting around the house taking it easy,” he concludes.
