Fans of country trio Edens Edge were shocked to learn the news last week that founding member and lead singer Hannah Blaylock had left the group following their appearance on the Grand Ole Opry Feb. 22.

Remaining members Cherrill Green and Dean Berner first shared the news on the band's website. Dean shared, "The Opry stage is a place that artists begin living the first pages of their journey and many times it is the last place they play before their earthly journey ends and tonight we couldn’t have asked for a better place to open this new chapter for Edens Edge than on such a gracious stage.” Later in the week, departing member Hannah Blaylock took to her Twitter account to discuss her leaving. She wrote:

Hey y'all. Dreams and visions change and that's life and that's ok. And even though change is hard sometimes it's what can promote the best kind of growth. I am here to say, I have stepped down as a member of Edens Edge. I don't know the future, but I do know singing is my life and country music is my soul and its fans are the best fans there is. I'm the luckiest girl in the world and so privileged to known and have met all of you. You have brought a love and light into my life that I never knew before. I am so thankful and so grateful for all the blessings and opportunities I have been given. I can't say that enough. I wish Dean and Cherrill the most success, happiness and fulfillment in the world. The times we have shared together I hold dear to my heart. Let's keep on chasing our dreams and loving people along the way. Hope to see you on the road.

While no announcement has been made about the future of Edens Edge or Hannah, Dean also mentioned on the website, "We're literally living on the 'edge' right now, as we regroup, write, and the next chapter of our band is revealed. It's a crazy but exciting time, and we hope everyone will join us on the journey."

All three members of Edens Edge hail from Arkansas, where they met and formed the group. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2012 and produced the hit single "Amen." In a short two years, the group has opened shows on Brad Paisley's Wetter and Wilder Tour, Reba McEntire's All yhe Women I Am Tour, Lady Antebellum's Own the Night Tour and Rascal Flatts' Changed Tour (2012).
