DON'T MESS WITH JO DEE

Jo Dee Messina, out riding her bike before a concert, was met with some hooligans who wouldn't leave her alone.

The bike ride was part of her training for an upcoming race to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation, held in Austin, Texas.

During her ride, Jo Dee noticed that the same group of kids in a car kept driving by, yelling nasty comments and remarks and honking the horn.

"These guys kept riding by and beeping the horn and screaming and yelling -- all because they saw a chick on a bike," says Jo Dee in an interview.

"They didn't know it was me. They started getting really nasty the fifth or sixth time they passed me."

But don't worry folks -- Jo Dee knows how to take care of herself. When she got up onstage for her performance, she told her story to the crowd and then introduced her very large security guard.

"Everybody, this is Jason. If you happen to be those four boys, you can come back here and see Jason, and we'll give you your tires back."

It was a joke, of course -- nobody stole the kids' tires -- and Jo Dee got the last laugh.
