Don Helms Tribute
A tribute to the late Don Helms, the last surviving member of Hank Williams’ Drifting Cowboys band, will be held March 8 at the Texas Troubadour Theatre in Nashville at 2 p.m.
Don, a renowned steel guitar player, died last Aug. 11 at age 81. He was featured on more than 100 Hank Williams recordings. Among the stars paying tribute to Don will be Ray Price and Bobby Bare, along with several special guests. Tickets for the concert are $27.50 and may be purchased through donhelmstribute.org and Robert’s Western World in Nashville, (615) 244-1028.
