Dolly Parton Has Big Plans for Dollywood

“It’s truly the culmination of this country girl’s wildest dreams!”

Dolly Parton’s theme park in East Tennessee, Dollywood, is already a huge attraction for tourists and locals alike. But Dolly, never one to rest on her laurels, plans to make the park an even bigger enterprise. New attractions, resorts and more job opportunities are on the way over the next 10 years, Dolly has announced.

Construction has begun on the new FireChaser Express roller coaster, opening in March of 2014.

To mark the company’s 30-year anniversary in 2015, the Dollywood DreamMore Resort will open adjacent to the park, located in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. The resort will include meeting spaces, 300 rooms and Dolly’s Suite Dreams celebrity suite, with décor inspired by Dolly herself. It is estimated that nearly 2,500 jobs will be created due to the addition of the resort.

“I’ve always been a big dreamer,” Dolly said about the expansion. “My plans for the next 10 years are to expand my Dollywood properties to offer families more opportunities to play together and grow closer while they make their best memories. It’s truly the culmination of a country girl’s wildest dreams!”

Dollywood, here we come!
