Dolly Hopes to Launch a Line of Cosmetics

“I’d like to get back into the wigs again, too,” Dolly says of her future business plans.

It's no secret that Dolly Parton loves her makeup and fun wigs. The flamboyant singer/songwriter/businesswoman, who recently released the CD/DVD two-disc set An Evening with . . . Dolly, exclusively with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, says she would love to release her own line of products to help others look and feel their best.

"Someday I hope to have my own line of makeup and my own perfume. I would love to do that, that’s one of the things I have planned for the future," Dolly told CountryWeekly.com during a recent media day in Nashville. Dolly has previously sold her own line of cosmetics, Dolly Parton's Beauty Confidence Collection, with Revlon in the 1990s, as well as a line of wigs. "I’d like to get back into the wigs again, too," the superstar says of her future business plans.

Though she's clearly confident in her makeup and hair choices, the unflappable Dolly did admit there was one interviewer during her media day that made her anxious--fashion consultant and television personality Tim Gunn, whose stint on Project Runway led to his own show, Tim Gunn's Guide to Style. "I was so nervous," says Dolly. "He was so nervous around me, too. I thought, ‘Oh God, they are going to start picking at me and pointing out different [style flaws]!'"
