Dierks Is Torn Between Two Teams in Hockey Playoffs
"I never really expected them to be playing each other in the playoffs," he tells Nashville newspaper
Kind of wacky that a native of dry-heat-boasting Arizona would ever fall in love with ice hockey.
But Dierks Bentley is crazy for it. His first game was watching minor league team the Phoenix Roadrunners, and Dierks is now a regular at Nashville Predators games. Heck, the guy even plays hockey!
Now, Dierks is at a crossroads: The Phoenix Coyotes are playing the Nashville Predators in the second round of the playoffs. And even Mike Fisher of the Predators—a.k.a. Carrie Underwood's hubby—has asked Dierks which team he's pulling for.
So far, Dierks ain't sayin'.
"I'm being pulled pretty hard here," Dierks tells The Tennessean in Nashville.
"I love both of these teams. I never really expected them to be playing each other in the playoffs. . . . It's great for hockey when you have two teams like this, not part of the Original Six, [but] the newer teams trying to build up their fan bases. To have both in the playoffs, it's exciting."
Say, if this country music thing doesn't work out, politics might be a good fit for diplomatic Dierks. . . .
