Dierks Says Fans Helped Him Get Through His Father’s Death

“All these people I don't know reaching out in so many great ways,” Dierks says.

Dierks Bentley says fans have helped him deal with the death of his dad on June 1, and he loved being back onstage Saturday night (June 9) in Detroit.

"It was really something I was looking forward to," Dierks said Sunday night (June 10) at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. "Good medicine. It's what I needed. The second I got out there, I felt great."

But it's not just the fans at the shows. Dierks says fans have reached out with sympathy wishes in every way possible, including online.

"All these people I don’t know reaching out in so many great ways," Dierks said.
