Dierks Is Good-Luck Charm for an Amazing NHL Trick Shot

Country star watches as Nashville Predator shoots a puck into the net from the stands.

Do you remember that 1993 commercial in which basketball greats Larry Bird and Michael Jordan have the mega-game of H.O.R.S.E. over a Big Mac?

The Nashville Predators hockey team decided to make a spoof of that commercial with avowed hockey fan/country star Dierks Bentley and Preds defenseman Shea Weber.

So Shea and Dierks found themselves shooting hockey pucks from the Bridgestone Arena stands toward a net about 200 yards or so away. Funny thing happened: Shea Weber made his shot. And that video is going all over the web this week, even landing on the NHL.com site.

As soon as he releases the shot, Shea says, "No, that's too far right." But the puck takes a funny bounce and curves left into the goal.

Dierks laughs loudly and high-fives Shea at the end of the video.

Guess Dierks missed his shot or we'd probably be seeing that on the web as well.
