Dierks, Ex-NHL Player Shoot T-Shirts Into Crowd

Dierks and new pal Chad Brownlee whip out hockey sticks to fire cotton bombs at fans.


Dierks Bentley must be in heaven.

The country star is also a huge ice hockey fan, and it looks like Dierks found himself the perfect partner for a bro-mance. In Calgary, in Canada, Dierks had an NHL player-turned-country singer open up for him Tuesday night (Feb. 21).

Dude's name is Chad Brownlee, a former Vancouver Canuck who turned to country music recently. In fact, Chad last year got the Rising Star Award at the Canadian Country Music Awards.

Anyhoo, Dierks and Chad decided to grab a couple of hockey sticks and shoot some rolled-up T-shirts into the crowd after Tuesday's show.

Dierks calls it a fun new tradition. Some of his fans called it Ouch-time.

"No concert is compleate without a t shirt to the throat," fan Devon Riviere tweeted.

Another fan, Jordan Karst, tweeted, "Thanks Chad for the shirt 2 the head 2 end it all off! Shooting shirts? Classic!"
