Those who hear Dierks Bentley's new song, "Lot Of Leavin' Left To Do," may hear a little Waylon Jennings influence in the music. "I've always sung Waylon songs in my show," Dierks told X Radio Networks. "I open my show right now with 'Lonesome, On'ry And Mean.' I'm just a huge fan of Waylon's just because of his connections, his ties to the Valley from Arizona, from Phoenix where he got his start musically. [I] kinda wanted to write something in that vein, just something that was kinda honest about the life that I'm living right now. I got a lot of leavin' left to do. We're playing so many dates, we played more than anyone else last year in Nashville, and I think we were on the bus close to 300 days last year with travel. It's kinda hard to have a personal relationship with anyone that's gonna work out when you still got a lot of leavin' left to do, so I guess the song is a little bit of a disclaimer for my life right now."
