Dierks Bentley Takes His Pooch Jake on His First Flight

“One of our favorite airlines was nice enough to get him a seat on the plane, and had his own water,” Dierks said.

We’ve posted Dierks Bentley performing his new single, “I Hold On,” Friday (July 25) on ABC’s The View.

But it may have been Dierks’ doggie Jake who stole the show. Audience members loved Jake as much as they did Dierks.

And the pooch’s owner revealed Jake took his first airplane flight to get there.

“He’s been on tour buses and pickup trucks his whole life, but this was his first time actually being on a plane going to New York City,” Dierks said.

“So, one of our favorite airlines was nice enough to get him a seat on the plane, and had his own water. Even had to go through the pat-down process just like all of us.”

Probably more of a pet-down process. Good boy!

The ladies of The View wanted to know more about Jake's lineage, and Dierks confirmed Jake is half spitz.

“And half one-night stand,” Dierks added.

“It was a wild night, and this is the result of it,” he said.

No comment from Jake.
