Did Little Big Town Drive Spike in Sales for Pontoon Boats?

“No, it’s the other way around, L.A. Times. We spawned the pontoon sales,” Jimi says.

This is a real "chicken or the egg" situation.

Sales of pontoon boats are up nationwide, according to an article last month in the Los Angeles Times, which in fact mentions Little Big Town's single "Pontoon."

But does one have to do with the other?

"Pontoon sales are on the rise across the country, and we would like to take credit for that," LBT's Jimi Westbrook tells ABC Radio News, and then laughs.

"The L.A. Times, they did mention us in their article. They said, 'And there's even been a song spawned from the success of boat sales. Little Big Town's 'Pontoon' has come out, and now it's popular too.' No, it's the other way around, L.A. Times. We spawned the pontoon sales," Jimi said.
