Yeah, yeah, the National League snapped a 13-game losing streak in last night’s Major League Baseball All-Star game, but the real news is that country star David Nail smacked out a home run in the star-studded Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game two days before.

"Crossing home plate and seeing both Hall of Famers and celebs rushing out to greet me will forever be branded in my memory,” David tells Country Weekly.

Baseball legend Ozzie Smith, an MLB All Star 15 times, told David, "Man, you sure can play ball."

Joining David for the game were MC Hammer, supermodel Marisa Miller, Desperate Housewives plumber James Denton, Mad Men star Jon Hamm, baseball greats Bo Jackson, Ernie Banks, Dave Winfield, Rollie Fingers and others.

After the game, the stars and baseball greats decided to have a home run derby, and David was chosen as the celeb hitter.

If this singing thing doesn’t work out . . .
