UPDATE Monday, Feb. 22
Darryl published the following video late Sunday night.
One more video he sent. This is the morning after the storm. #prayforfiji #cyclonewinstonPosted by Darryl Worley on Sunday, February 21, 2016
In the video, Darryl shared the following message:
“I can’t thank you guys back home and all over the nation – all over the world – for your prayers. We’re still here and doing fine. We got folks coming in in the next couple days. We’re going to entertain some. But we’re also thinking about trying to do a benefit concert here if we can work something out.
“I just wanted to do this and let everybody know that we are safe and sound. God’s been good again.
“Love all of you and appreciate your prayers. Thank you.”

Nash Country Weekly has just learned that country artist Darryl Worley is among a group of singer/songwriters battening down the hatches as Category 5 Cyclone Winston bears down on the island of Fiji where they are participating in “Tunes for the Tropics.”
Darryl’s wife, Kimberly, is with him for the event; however, their daughter is stateside with her grandparents. Darryl’s manager reports to Nash Country Weekly that the couple is terrified and is asking for prayers as the storm is expected to make landfall with sustained winds of over 135 MPH and gusts of over 225 MPH. Evacuation centers have been activated and flights into and off of the islands have, obviously, been cancelled.
Weather reports are saying that Cyclone Winston is the strongest storm on record for the southern hemisphere.
Our thoughts are with Darryl, Kimberly and everyone in Fiji.
