Darius Talks Possible Hootie Album

Rucker, Darius

Darius Rucker's career is on track right now as a red-hot country artist. He's notched several No. 1 hits, including "Alright," "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" and "It Won't Be Like This for Long."

Still, the former Hootie & the Blowfish singer says that another album with the band could definitely be in the works. He tells the Des Moines Register, "I guarantee someday there will be at least one more Hootie record. When we decided to take a break, we didn't want that to be the way we went out. We want to play for our fans one more time."

He also says that fans don't always automatically associate him with the rest of the band anymore. "I'm just glad people know who I am, but it's rare now when someone calls me Hootie," he tells the paper. "When someone calls me Hootie now, I know it's because they want to."
