Darius Rucker Releases Song for PGA Charity

Rucker, Darius 2

Given Darius Rucker feels just as much at home with a nine-iron in his hand as a microphone, it's not surprising that he's combined his two loves with a chance to help raise awareness for a charitable cause.

Darius penned "Together, Anything's Possible" for the PGA Tour's charitable initiative of the same name. The song has been released to radio stations across the country. All net proceeds from the download of the song (which is available on iTunes) for one year will go to PGA Tour Charities, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.

“I honestly can’t believe I have the opportunity to be the voice of the PGA Tour,” says Darius in a statement. “I think everyone knows my love for golf and music, and this partnership really marries the two. It’s a dream come true.”

Darius also spent two days in his hometown of Charleston, S.C., with PGA Tour Entertainment, the PGA Tour's production company, to create a video for the song, and has plans to attend select PGA Tour tournaments in 2011 to perform the song and support the PGA's charitable efforts.
