Darius Rucker Lives His Dream of Singing With Huey Lewis

Darius Rucker loves going to the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am every year in California because he gets to mix it up with a bunch of other stars.

But last month, it was oh so much better than usual: Darius got to fulfill his lifelong dream of singing "Workin' for a Living" with Huey Lewis. It happened at a concert to thank the tourney's volunteers, when Darius was onstage and Huey was in the audience. Darius went over to Huey and said he was about to perform his song.

"He freaked out," Darius told ABC News Radio. "He's like, 'No way,' and I'm like, 'I've always wanted to sing it.'"

So Huey decided to help out: He grabbed a harmonica and joined Darius onstage. "He sings the harmonies and plays harmonica," Darius says. "Man, what a great musical moment for me."

How did Darius do?

"Yeah, I killed it," Darius said, laughing.

But Darius isn't the first country star to sing that song with Huey Lewis. You might recall Garth Brooks cut the song with the pop star for one of Garth's greatest-hits albums.
