Darius and co-writer Clay Mills were honored at the party and met with members of the Nashville media before the event. “I didn’t know what to expect,” said Darius about making the record. “I was told not to expect a No. 1. I felt like the outsider trying to get accepted and now I feel like the insider and I can accept other people now, so that’s a good thing.”
