Dan Fogelberg, 1951-2007

Singer and songwriter Dan Fogelberg died at age 56 on Dec. 16 following a battle with prostate cancer.

While best known for 1970s and 1980s soft-rock tunes like "Leader of the Band" and "Same Old Lang Syne," the Illinois native also appeared several times on the country charts. His biggest country hit was a 1985 cover version of Flatt & Scruggs' "Down the Road Mountain Pass." Fans are invited to share their condolences at thelivinglegacy.net/wishes.
