Dale Races to Record Ratings

The CMT original movie Dale, a documentary on the life of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt, has become the most watched program in the network’s history.

Dale, which premiered on CMT Sept. 4, ranked as the highest-rated cable telecast of the day among viewers 18–49 years of age as well as total viewers. Narrated by actor Paul Newman, Dale featured archival race footage, interviews with friends and fellow drivers and never-before-seen family home videos.
