Crystal Gayle Meets Kristin Chenoweth—At a Gay Bar!

Kristin: “This is a major moment for me! You don’t understand, this is royalty.”

Strange but true: Country legend Crystal Gayle ("Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue") met Broadway star-turned-country singer Kristin Chenoweth for the first time at a gay bar in Nashville Saturday night, Sept. 17.

Kristin had her Grand Ole Opry debut that night, and afterward, headed to Tribe, all of which was captured on video. At the bar, they played a music video from Kristin while she offered commentary, pointing out her dog's video debut.

Then, around 5:20 into the video, Crystal Gayle is called to the stage, and she emerges from the rowdy crowd to give Kristin a hug.

"This is a major moment for me," Kristin tells the crowd. "You don't understand, this is royalty," she said, motioning to a smiling Crystal.

"Well, it's my honor to meet you," Crystal replies. "I'm a fan."

A flustered Kristin says, "I need a picture! Do you mind posing?"
