Country’s Strong: Taylor, Lady A Lead Pack In Album Sales

The final tally is in for album sales for 2010, and country can claim two of the top three spots, according to figures from the Recording Industry Association of American (RIAA).

Britain's Got Talent discovery Susan Boyle repeated as best-selling artist of the year in 2010, with her second album, The Gift, which went triple platinum, the RIAA reports.

The only other two albums to sell 3 million or more came from Taylor Swift (Speak Now) and Lady Antebellum (Need You Now). (Might this spark a bunch more country albums with the word “now” it the title?)

All three of Taylor’s albums have now sold more than 3 million copies.
