COUNTRY WEEKLY FAN FAVORITE AWARDS NOMS ARE IN

The nominations for the inaugural "Country Weekly Fan Favorite Awards" are in full swing.

The top five nominees are: Alan Jackson with eight nominations, George Strait with six nominations, Toby Keith has five, Tim McGraw is up for four and Brad Paisley has three nominations.

Top female nominees are Faith Hill and Lee Ann Womack, with two apiece.

It is interesting to note Alan Jackson also holds the top spot for number of nominations in the upcoming CMA Awards with ten nods.

Jackson is nominated in the categories of favorite entertainer, favorite male artist, favorite album and favorite collaborative song, and twice for favorite song and favorite video in both the CMA and the Fan Favorite awards presentations.

The only difference is that the CMAs have one more category than the Fan Favorites -- single of the year. Jackson is nominated twice in that category.

Online voting for the final round of the Country Weekly Fan Favorite awards starts on October 1, and the winners will be announced in the January 7th issue of Country Weekly which hits newsstands on Christmas Eve.
