Country stars have joined pop stars such as Katy Perry and Chris Brown in turning to Twitter to help raise money for earthquake and tsunami victims in the Far East.

Brad Paisley kept it simple:

If you are able, please text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation to #Japan & Pacific #tsunami relief. I have some dear friends there.

Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts re-tweeted a similar plea.

And then there’s Jaron and the Long Road to Love:

About to eat some sushi to show my support for my Japanese friends.

and then:

Another way to help is to text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 automatically to your phone bill.

You can also help the victims of the Japan earthquake and tsunami by donating to the American Red Cross at redcross.org.
