COUNTRY STARS SHINE TONIGHT

The nation's country music stars will be attending the TNN & CMT Country Weekly Music Awards tonight. Popular favorites Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and George Strait head the star-studded competition with the most nominations. George, Tim, and Faith each received an amazing seven nominations, but Alan Jackson topped them all with a whopping eight nominations of his own. Tonight's award show is unique in that it is the only event in the country music industry that allows fans to vote for their favorites, and it also features many high-voltage performances by several of the industry's top artists. Tonight's show will feature many notable moments including Faith Hill's first public appearance since announcing her latest pregnancy. Vince Gill is also being honored with his second Country Weekly Career Achievement Award, and the as-yet-unannounced recipient of the coveted Minnie Pearl Humanitarian Award will also be on hand to join in the celebration. The show will be broadcasted live on TNN and CMT tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
