Did ya catch ABC’s CMA Country Christmas last night (Nov. 29)?

There was laughter and tears and lots o’ Christmas songs.

Brad Paisley observed, “The great thing about having kids is you can go to a toy store now and I don’t feel like a weirdo.”

Joe Don Rooney shared that his childhood Christmas Eve tradition was Mexican food, and Martina McBride’s family has Christmas pot roast.

LeAnn Rimes delivered the tears, saying she’d had a tough year last year.

“And I wanted to write all my friends that stood by me and loved me and were there for me night and day this handwritten letter,” LeAnn said during an interview on the show.

“And I’m so gonna start crying.”

And she did, continuing in a shaky voice. “But I wrote them a handwritten letter just telling them how much I love them. And so that was my favorite.”
