Country, Folk Stars Make Guy Clark Tribute

Vince, Steve Earle, Kristofferson contribute tracks.

Some top country and folk artists have put together a tribute album for veteran singer/songwriter Guy Clark (Ricky Skaggs’ hit “Heartbroke," Vince Gill’s “Oklahoma Borderline,” The Highwaymen’s “Desperados Waiting for a Train”).

Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris, Vince, Steve Earle, Kris Kristofferson, Suzy Bogguss and Willie Nelson are among those who contributed tracks to This One’s for Him: A Tribute to Guy Clark. The album comes out Nov. 1, to celebrate Guy’s 70th birthday on Nov. 6, and features 30 songs with 33 different Americana artists participating.

The album is being put together by frequent Clark co-writer Shawn Camp and friend/biographer Tamara Saviano.
