Country Artists Tops in Tickets

What do Eric Church, Madonna and Drake all have in common? They're all among the artists ranked in 2012's biggest tours for tickets sales worldwide.

In fact, a full 32 percent of the top 25 artists on the list, released today (Jan. 4) by Pollstar, belongs to country artists. Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw's joint Brothers of the Sun tour leads the pack at No. 7 with 1.1 million tickets sold, trailed closely by Jason Aldean at No. 8 with more than 981,000.

Eric Church ranks at No. 11, followed by Lady Antebellum at No. 12 and Brad Paisley at No. 13, all of whom moved above 750,000 tickets. Rascal Flatts came in at No. 19, with nearly 631,000. Rounding out the top 25 are Zac Brown Band at No. 21 with more than 584,000 sold and Toby Keith at No. 25 with sales exceeding 558,000.

So who finished at No. 1? That would be Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, who blew up box offices everywhere with a whopping 2.3 million tickets sold.
