Countdown to CMA Music Festival

“Country Music’s Biggest Party,” the CMA Music Festival, officially kicks off tomorrow (June 9) in downtown Nashville with the Sixth Annual CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade and the Fifth Annual CMA Music Festival Block Party.

The parade, beginning at 11:30 a.m., features country stars and other celebrities riding in a variety of Chevrolet cars and trucks. Brenda Lee will serve as grand marshal while Rodney Atkins, Lynn Anderson, Gloriana, Josh Gracin and others will also be participating. The parade begins at the corner of Church Street and Second Avenue in downtown Nashville and will travel up Broadway. Following the parade, at 1p.m., the CMA Music Festival Block Party will provide entertainment on the Bridgestone Arena Plaza Stage at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway. David Nail, Joe Nichols and Randy Houser are among the acts playing the block party.

The CMA Music Festival runs through Sunday, June 13, and features nightly concerts at LP Field, autograph signings, family entertainment and a variety of other activities. Single night tickets for the concerts are still available. For more information, visit cmafest.com.
