COLGATE COUNTRY SHOWDOWN FINAL TONIGHT

LeAnn Rimes will host the National Final of the 25th Annual Colgate Country Showdown talent contest, Thursday, Jan. 25, at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

The Colgate Country Showdown is the nation’s largest and longest-running country music talent search, and has helped launch the careers of stars like Garth Brooks, Sara Evans and Billy Ray Cyrus. This year’s five finalists, who will be competing for the $100,000 first prize are Lindsey Earl, Jill James, J Juliano with Adrienne Grove, Megan Peeler and Hailey Stout. “This will be a lot of fun,” LeAnn told Country Weekly during show rehearsals. “It’s a big anniversary for this show, and it’s a great place for new talent to get their big break. And I also love hosting—it’s something that comes very natural to me.” Tonight’s National Final will be taped for future airing on GAC and TV stations around the country.
