CMT RUNS WEEKEND HEE HAW MARATHON

The classic country comedy Hee Haw returns to TV for the first time in nearly 10 years when CMT airs the CMT Hee Haw Weekend, Saturday, July 29, 5 p.m.–1 a.m. ET, and Sunday, July 30, 3 p.m.–9 p.m. ET.

Each of these vintage episodes features some of country’s all-time greatest stars, including George Strait, Willie Nelson and Reba McEntire. Fans will also see a past segment with George Jones and Tammy Wynette from 1974, when the two stars were husband and wife, along with a 1990 appearance from Garth Brooks. Hee Haw was one of TV’s longest-running variety shows, airing from 1969 to 1993. Buck Owens and Roy Clark served as co-hosts for the majority of those years, with Buck stepping down in 1986. Additional reruns of Hee Haw will be shown throughout the month of August on CMT.
