CMA AWARDS PERFORMACE UPDATE

This year's 35th Annual CMA Awards should prove to be one hot ticket, with performances by some of country music's greatest artists.

It seems that the rumors of bad blood between Garth Brooks and George Jones are untrue -- the two will pair up for their long-awaited duet "Beer Run," singing the song live on the awards show. The song appears on Garth's album, "Scarecrow," as well as Jones' "The Rock: Stone Cold Country 2001."

Also performing at the show are Brooks & Dunn, singing their #1 hit, "Only in America."

On a patriotic note, Diamond Rio will perform "One More Day" with a backdrop of video footage related to the September 11 terrorist attacks and featuring a tribute to those country stars who have died over the past year.

Continuing on the patriotic route, the entire cast of performers and presenters will participate in a tribute at the end of the show.

The 35th Annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live on CBS-TV at 8 pm from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
