Clint Hosts Flicka 2 Movie Premiere
Clint Black welcomed fellow stars, invited guests and media members to the premiere of his made-for-DVD movie, Flicka 2, April 27, at the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville.
The movie will be released May 4 exclusively at Walmart stores, Sam’s Club and walmart.com. The story centers around big-city teenager Carrie who moves to a ranch in Wyoming to be with her father. Carrie develops a strong bond with a wild mustang named Flicka. Clint has a featured role in the film as Toby, the main ranch hand. Clint and Steve Wariner also wrote a song that appears in the movie, “A Beautiful Day.”
Before the premiere, Clint, the movie’s director Michael Damian, several cast members and other stars arrived on the red carpet and met with reporters. Clint noted that he enjoyed his acting experience after a few years away from the big screen. “I forgot how much fun it could be,” Clint said. “I told my agent that I would like to start looking at more projects.” Clint added, “I loved the character that I play. He’s thoughtful, but he keeps it light. I’m sort of the comic relief and I liked that.”
Clint's wife Lisa Hartman Black and their daughter Lily Pearl (all pictured right) attended the event. Also on hand for the premiere were Steve Wariner and wife Caryn, Bo Bice, Brady Seals and wife Lisa Seals, Katie Armiger, Kristy Osmunson of Bomshel and others. Following the premiere, the cast and guests celebrated at the after-party at popular Nashville restaurant Cabana.
